Never underestimate the advantage of contributing hard work and discipline to achieving your goals. Often times, we count ourselves out before we even get in the race. Therefore, the hard work and discipline is never started, planned, nor implemented.
A made-up mind is the beginning…
The purpose of a made-up mind is to understand which direction you are going. It is like going on a journey in a car. You have a car full of gasoline and a map, but you have no idea where you are going. As a result, you are just driving with no destination in mind. You are using wasteful time and energy. This is why a made-up mind is the first step. You must know where you are going and what you are trying to achieve first before moving forward.
Once you know the intended direction and destination. stay focused on it. Visualize the goal and keep the vision within your reach and visit it daily. You don’t have to tell everyone about your vision. Because it is your vision and not theirs, they may not be able to see it. Guard and protect your vision to allow yourself to be encouraged. When outsiders start giving their opinion, they can talk a mouse out of eating cheese…lol!
Moving on to the next step…Hard Work and Discipline!
At this stage, you must be willing to put in the labor to achieve your goal. You must know that you have crossed all of your T’s and dotted all of your I’s. You must uncover every brick and stone. With this type of mindset, it may require you to be disciplined. You may need to be disciplined to complete a certain task every day, at a certain time every day, and do it when you don’t feel like doing it. It may require much repetition before you see any results.
Never give it!
Results may be slow. You may have to take many baby steps before seeing major progress. Big dreams may still require you to crawl first before getting to the baby steps. But be aware that baby steps are still productive.
What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? James 2:14 (NKJV)
There is much honor in hard work and discipline. Do not take it for granted. Put in the work and let’s see what the end will be!
